Jaco is a managing director and global head of the RBC Quantitative Investments Team at RBC GAM. He leads an experienced team driven to continually innovate across all capabilities—research, portfolio management, data, and systems—to leverage the combination of human and machine in investment decision-making. A member of the RBC Investment Strategy Committee since joining the organization in 2019, Jaco brings decades of investment industry experience. Previously, he held an executive role at one of South Africa's largest financial services companies, leading the Investment Management Office across pensions, insurance, banking, and wealth management. He also chaired the boards and investment committees of several pension plans, promoting investment excellence and driving transformational change to help members achieve their retirement goals. Jaco started his career in the investment industry in 1996.
