Murphy O'Flaherty est première gestionnaire de portefeuille au sein de l’équipe Actions américaines de valeur et de base de RBC Global Asset Management (U.S.) Inc. À ce titre, elle participe à la mise en œuvre des stratégies relatives aux actions de valeur de sociétés à petite capitalisation et à microcapitalisation. Avant de se joindre à l’organisation en 2015, elle était directrice générale d’une grande banque mondiale d’investissement et de courtage traditionnel. Elle utilisait la recherche fondamentale sur actions pour conseiller des gestionnaires d’actifs et leur recommander des titres en déployant toutes les grandes stratégies de placement applicables à chacun des segments de capitalisation. Auparavant, elle exerçait des fonctions similaires en tant que directrice générale dans une autre importante institution financière canadienne, après avoir travaillé dans le domaine des actions et des titres à revenu fixe pour deux sociétés mondiales de services financiers. Elle a amorcé sa carrière dans le secteur des placements en 1995.
