Établi aux États-Unis, M. Skiba est chef, Titres américains à revenu fixe BlueBay, à RBC Global Asset Management (U.S.) Inc. Il a assumé ce rôle en 2013 lorsqu’il a quitté Londres pour s’installer aux États-Unis afin de superviser l’accroissement des capacités de gestion mondiale de titres de catégorie investissement. Ce nouveau mandat faisait suite à une période amorcée en 2009 où il était gestionnaire de portefeuille responsable des investissements de la société dans le cadre des stratégies de titres mondiaux de catégorie investissement de BlueBay. Avant d’entrer au service de BlueBay en 2005 à titre d’analyste du crédit, M. Skiba a travaillé pour une banque d’investissement en qualité d’analyste du crédit des émetteurs européens de titres de catégorie investissement des secteurs des télécommunications, des médias et des services publics. Il a amorcé sa carrière dans le secteur des placements en 2001. M. Skiba détient un baccalauréat ès sciences (avec mention) en gestion et en économie des affaires internationales de l’Institute of Science and Technology de l’université de Manchester. Il est également analyste financier agréé (CFA®).
